Frequently Asked Questions

About me

I’m Violaine de Laminne de Bex, a UX & UI Designer. I freelance on the side in the evenings and on weekends, in addition to my full-time job.

Working with me means you get both the flexibility of a freelancer and the professionalism gained with large companies (such as Brussels Airport and Carrefour) as well as many small businesses and individuals.
I love my work because it lets me touch a wide variety of projects: visual identity, packaging, UX, UI, websites, digital campaigns…
Every project is a new opportunity to create a custom, beautiful, and effective solution.

You can contact me in different ways:

Since I work full-time for Brussels Airport on weekdays, I freelance mainly in the evening (after 7 pm) and on weekends.
We define a schedule together that fits your needs.
You can check my availability anytime here.
I’m flexible and adapt as best as possible to your needs.
You can also call me in the evening or email me — I’ll reply as my availability allows.

To receive a free quote, please send a brief including:
  • A description of your project (e.g., brochure site, logo, flyer, UX/UI, etc.)
  • Your main goals (e.g., attract new clients, improve user experience, modernize your identity)
  • Any available assets (text, images, brand guidelines, existing logo…)
  • Desired formats/sizes (if applicable)
  • Desired timeline

It means I work outside standard office hours, which provides flexibility for your projects.

My services

Digital services

As a UX & UI specialist, I provide many digital deliverables: website designs, mobile app designs, digital banners, emails, newsletters, wireframes, interactive prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, design systems, developer handoff documentation, etc.

Of course!
My job is to guide you and make things simple and clear.
You don’t need to know the technical vocabulary: I explain every step in plain language and translate your needs into concrete, tailored solutions.
My goal is for you to feel confident throughout the project, even if digital isn’t your field.

UX (User Experience) focuses on structure, logic, and usability.
UI (User Interface) focuses on the visual layer: colors, typography, buttons, and the brand look & feel.

Yes — it’s one of my biggest passions!
I build coherent, modular design systems to ensure a consistent experience across your web and mobile products, while respecting (or creating) your custom brand identity.

I create brochure sites, WordPress sites, iOS and Android apps, or other solutions tailored to your needs.

Yes, depending on your needs. I can design the UI and collaborate with a specialized developer if required.

Yes — for a brochure website or a standard WordPress site, I can handle setting up hosting and the domain name.
However, if your project requires more advanced technical specifics (for example e-commerce or custom development), I collaborate with specialized developers I work with regularly.

Accessibility means making websites and apps usable by everyone, including people with disabilities (visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive).
WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) define international standards to ensure this accessibility.
I care about it a lot because inclusive design improves the experience for everyone. Few designers truly apply these rules, but it’s a priority for me.

Brand identity & graphic design

On the graphic side I create logos, visual identities, brand guidelines, flyers, menus, invitation cards, business cards, office stationery, etc.

Yes — I design logos, brand guidelines, and visual systems.

Yes — I design your print materials. You can then send the final files to your printer.

Yes — I design packaging to match your needs, whether it’s your shopfront, product labels, or even beach flags — I’m here!
⚠️ I don’t handle printing — I deliver the design only, and can guide you to reliable printers.

Process

  1. Define your needs.
By phone, SMS, email, video call, or at my office.
  2. Quote and timeline proposal.
  3. Concepts (if applicable).
For example, for a logo I propose 3 starting directions to refine based on your taste.
  4. Design and iterate.
  5. Delivery of final files.

No, it’s not necessary. We can work efficiently via email, phone, WhatsApp, SMS, or video call.
If you prefer, we can absolutely schedule an in-person meeting.
You can contact me in different ways:

Timelines depend on the project and my availability, but I commit to communicating regularly on progress.

No — I don’t offer printing services. You receive press-ready files you can send to your printer.
I can also advise you on choosing a printer.
